We had the chance to host Katie Couric as part of our SXSW Panel supporting female empowerment and women’s rights.
The featured guest for the event was Katie Couric, who opened up and discussed her personal feelings regarding the fallout with her former co-host on the Today Show, Matt Lauer and what she would say to Lauer if she saw him today.
Katie Couric is an award winning journalist who has been one of the leading female figures in media for over three decades. Sharon Waxman, Founder and Editor-In-Chief of The Wrap, sat down with Couric to discuss this topic, in addition to Katie Couric’s reaction to the female empowerment movement taking place today.
Did she face any of the sexual harassment that so many women are coming forward with and reporting today? If not, what does she credit this to and where does she hope the movement takes those looking to spread their voices and feel more deeply empowered.
Here is our interview with Katie Couric, at SXSW and our Power Women’s Breakfast Panel for the BEConference.
Fine print: The BEConference is an event held by the Wrap.com — which runs this YouTube channel — and is geared towards giving women the chance to connect with other industry figures. Power Women’s Breakfast, which is the event taking place with Katie Couric in the above video, is the kickoff to this conference, and took place 3/11/18 at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
Thanks for watching, everyone.
